1/7/2020: Tom sells the rights to his songwriting catalog of Blink — as well as Angels & Airwaves and presumably Box Car Racer — to Hipgnosis Songs, a music IP investment company.

1/13/2020: The band issue limited exclusive merchandise with proceeds benefiting the Australia Zoo.

  • The band performs at the Forum in Inglewood, California as a part of iHeartRadio ALTer EGO 2020. Video, Interview, Interview 2

  • This is the band's final concert for over three years.

2/3/2020: The band schedules a concert at Ontario festival Rock the Park, though it is later cancelled.

3/2020: The COVID-19 pandemic causes global disruption to everyday activities; among hit worst is the music industry, with concerts essentially cancelled for the foreseeable future. From this month onward, Blink activities slow as a result of the pandemic.

3/28/2020: The trio request on social media that fans upload videos of themselves for their upcoming music video for “Happy Days”.

4/2/2020: News of a summer tour, co-headlining with the Used, leaks. The trek is postponed due to COVID-19.

4/9/2020: The music video for “Happy Days” is released.

4/13/2020: An unreleased edit of “I Really Wish I Hated You” surfaces with singer Miley Cyrus on vocals.

5/14/2020: Mark confirms new music is being made during the quarantine.

5/27/2020: Travis, in a Spin Q&A, confirms one new song title: “Quarantine”.

6/18/2020: The band were scheduled to perform at the Woodlands in Dover, Delaware as a part of Firefly Music Festival.

6/28/2020: The band were scheduled to perform at American Family Insurance Amphitheater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a part of Summerfest.

6/30/2020: The band physically release their 2012 EP Dogs Eating Dogs for the first time in limited numbers.

7/9/2020: The band were scheduled to perform at Lebreton Flats in Ottawa, Ontario as a part of RBC Bluesfest.

7/11/2020: The band were scheduled to perform at Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio as a part of Inkcarceration Festival. Poster

7/30/2020: The clip for “Happy Days” is nominated for two awards at the MTV Video Music Awards; the nods mark the group’s first nominations in eighteen years.

8/6/2020: Mark guests on the Pass Through Frequencies podcast with Jimmy Eat World’s Jim Adkins.

8/7/2020: “Quarantine” is released; an associated music video and Travis-only drum video accompany it.

8/18/2020: Apple announces Mark’s radio show, After School Radio.

9/10/2020: Mark views the MTV Album Launch documentary on his Twitch stream.

10/7/2020: Deadline reports that Tom is working on his directorial debut, Monsters of California.

10/19/2020: Mark guests on Chris DeMakes A Podcast and discusses the writing of WMAA.
