YEAR IN REVIEW: Work on a seventh album doesn't progress. The band tours Australia with Brooks Wackerman on drums, due to Travis's fear of flying. Later in the year, the band play a few shows in celebration of their untitled album.
1/3/2013: Property of Zack and AbsolutePunk team up to interview Chris Holmes about working on Dogs Eating Dogs.
2/17/2013: Travis announces via Facebook that he will be unable to attend the upcoming Australian tour due to fear of flying. Brooks Wackerman will take his place.
2/20/2013: The band performs at Allphones Arena in Sydney, beginning the second leg of the 20th Anniversary Tour. Poster
2/21/2013: Travis has a giant spat over Twitter with promoter AJ Maddah, who dubs him a "fucking gangster" for backing out of the Aussie tour. Maddah, in short, believed the move was calculated and announced last-minute in order to not hurt tickets. In later interviews, it is revealed this was a major difficulty for Tom, who disliked being "put in that position" while on tour, and toyed with kicking Travis out of the band as a result.

3/2013 (undated): Tom proposes to Mark they kick Travis out of the band for the Maddah spat. Mark later claims he only listened to Tom to allow him to "blow off steam," and that he later came to a conclusion that he was wrong.
3/19/2013: Icon, Blink's second compilation album, is released by Interscope, in what appears to be a last-minute cash grab. It contains no material from Neighborhoods.
6/17/2013: Transplants’ third album, In a Warzone, is released.
8/31/2013: The band performs at Fort Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, as a part of X-Fest, beginning the third leg of the 20th Anniversary Tour.
